ThinkWorks Founder to Speak at Ithaca College

Ithaca, NY - Dr. Derek Cabrera tells us that four patterns of thinking are at the foundation of the infinite ideas around us.  An internationally recognized expert in thinking skills, he wants to reshape schools and businesses with his revolutionary Patterns of Thinking Method.  Cabrera explains that this Method provides a missing link that is essential for teachers and schools to teach both what to know and how to know. After sharing these insights into thinking and learning with audiences across the country for the past several years, the ThinkWorks Founder and President will speak at Ithaca College on Thursday, November 13. Educators from throughout the Ithaca area will have the opportunity to hear Cabrera share ideas based on his 15 years of research.  "These ideas have been adopted in school districts across the country, and it's great to have this opportunity to work with educators in my own backyard," Cabrera said.  

The interactive lecture, titled "Rethinking Education and Training in the 21st Century," is sponsored by Ithaca College's Department of Strategic Communication and will take place on Thursday, November 13, at 7:00 pm in the university's Park Auditorium.
